About the St Dogmaels/Cardigan Area
St Dogmaels/Cardigan is fairly easy to reach from all parts of the country, and is an ideal base from which to explore and discover the beaches, coves, nature and beauty of the Ceredigion Heritage Coast and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. You can enjoy many varied and beautiful walks, watch the wildlife, take a boat trip around Cardigan Bay, explore the ruins of St Dogmaels Abbey, hire a bicycle, fish in the river, go horse riding,
even take a therapy – the list of activities is endless!
St Dogmaels lies on the boundary of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, and is therefore ideally placed for a holiday that will suit the whole family, from beach lovers to serious walkers, to high-activity breaks.
For anyone interested in history, there are plenty of castles, churches, cromlechs and ruins to explore – and for those who like to ‘stay in touch’ rest assured that the area enjoys good mobile phone reception for all of the major networks, and there is free internet access in Cardigan Library.
